You have shown us various Greg Tang books throughout the semester, all
of which are great resources. I have come across another one though, that I think is also useful (and cute) for the classroom.
This book works to increase children's fluency of math in a fun, creative,
poetic form. Each fable contained in the book introduces a number then continues to deconstruct that number into groups that add together to
equal the original number. For example, the nymber 7 is introduced, and
is then broken down into groups of 5 and 2, 6 and 1, and 3 and 4. This book is beautifully illustrated to engage children, as the groups are made up of animals.
I just thought I would pass it along in case anyone is interested!!
